Yasser Khoudeir, MD, Chief of Staff

     Yasser Khoudeir, MD, is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with active practices in Mount Carmel and Frackville.

     He has been an active member of the SCMCFS Medical Staff since 1998.  Dr. Khoudeir is known for providing outstanding patient care and for his knowledge as a physician.  His election to the position as Chief of Staff was due in large part to his continued loyalty and outspoken support of the medical center and the staff, as well as his vision for healthcare for both within the medical center and the community.

     Dr. Khoudeir graduated in the top 10 percent of his class from medical school and completed his residency at Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y.  He holds professional medical licenses in the states of Michigan and Pennsylvania and is certified in ACLS/BLS.

Carlos Villarreal, MD

   A talented and compassionate Vascular and General Surgeon, Dr. Villarreal has been serving the medical center since 1992.

    Board Certified by the American College of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. V, as he is affectionately known, brings to the SCMCFS Surgery Department, experience as well as a reputation and record as an outstanding and skilled Surgeon.  It was for this reason he was elected the Medical Director for the Department of Surgery at SCMCFS by his peers, a position in which he proudly serves.

John Stefovic, MD

Dr. Stefovic, a Family Practitioner and who has been in private practice since 1997, serves as the Medical Director for the Saint Catherine Healthcare Center located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the medical center.

   After graduating from Juniata College, Dr. Stefovic went on to complete his medical degree at the Penn State Hershey School of Medicine and his residency in Family Practice at Harrisburg Hospital.  Following a stint in the Air Force, where he served as the Chief of Primary Care, USAF Clinic at Goodfellow, Dr. Stefovic returned to the former Ashland Regional Medical Center.  At that time, he served as the Director of Emergency Medicine. 

   Dr. Stefovic is certified as a practitioner in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Burn Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.  He is also a member of the staff at both the Broad Mountain Nursing Home and the Mt. Carmel Nursing Home.
